 Ripples from waves, wind
Or water, wash us to and fro
Ebb and flow
Singularity to be found in
Seeming uniformity
Bright reflection
Microscopic tendencies
Sharp softness underfoot
Moulds us from potential
Battered, washed, revealed
Hold me in your hand
While I trickle through your fingers
The sands of time move ever onwards
Formed and reformed into shape and shift
Wet and dry, flow and glide
Letting go to travel in the wave
Climb ever higher to the bottom of the cliff
Mark it well upon the shifting
Sea washed sand
Dark and light oscillate together
As microscopic mirrors macrocosm well
Naked lie, surrender to the tide
Flocking, seeking the moving of the swell
As you slip round my fingers
I feel you well
Examination brings new wonders
Visions manifest, creating without that which lies within
Living under, over, in the ripples
Motion, colour, looking, seeking
For that elusive moment when
Sifting through the never ending sea of grains
Delving deeper, ever deeper
Reaching the far flung
Finding recognition in a sandstorm
And something more as well
